Sketchbook 02.01.17

I can get so wrapped inside making art and thinking about making art that I forget to play and have fun. Art making is playing. Not to be confused with frivolity nor the inconsequential. Rather, the freedom to play, experiment, try something unknown with no outcome in mind is essential to creativity. Why does this get lost? Why do we allow ourselves, or even demand of ourselves, to be so damned serious?

To get out of my tangled head, I'm playing with paper and glue and the camera in my phone.
