Snow, Sun, Shade, Snow

Finally, we have a week of proper winter weather in store, below freezing temperatures and the possibility of more snow. Right now the flurries are swirling and the birds are puffed up for warmth. Wait a minute - scratch that - the sun is shining and the wind is howling. No, now it is decidedly overcast, all shadows have disappeared. (Honestly, all that transpired as I was typing.)

My efforts are matched to the weather. A few moments perched at the kitchen table to scratch a sentence or two for the dreaded elevator speech. Flit back to the computer to firmly respond in the negative to an ad rep who presumptuously reserved a full page ad for me (at $735!) when all I had done was request a rate sheet. Briefly chat on the phone with a friend while watching the birds at the feeder. Tweak the design for new lawn signs for Art Shop. Think about curling up on the couch to finish the shawl. Edit the elevator speech. Again. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Declutterfication update: In the midst of "if you can't find what you're looking for, clean." The big stack of papers "to be filed" are sorted and stacked in individual piles around the office floor. Hey, it's a start. Did not find the one missing investment statement that inspired the clean. Which led to the discovery that we never updated our mailing address with said investment company. Duh. Can't find what we don't have.

P.S. It's snowing again.
